Generate is a Dutch electronic music producer, born and based in The Hague, exploring the boundaries of sound and rhythm. Generate is 24 year old Edward van Eck who grew up listening jungle, breaks and jazz and started experimenting with music on his own at a young age and kept on reinventing himself while his studio expanded and his sounds evolved.

Through the years Generate developed a deep, soulful and unique sound. His sources of inspiration have very little restrictions and vary from old soul and soundtracks to (modern) classical music. He records different instruments in his home studio and integrates field recordings to tell his stories. It all ends up in a bass-orientated rhythmic combination, which generates a unique and detailed colour scheme of sound.

His first EP "Engines" was released in October 2013 by The Hague based Antilounge Records and is working on a full length album to get ready for his performance this year at the Great Escape festival in Brighton (UK).

After playing his sounds in The Hague based clubs and festivals such as Paard van Troje, Plein Open, State-X New Forms and Today's Art. He shared his sounds with enthusiastic crowds in Paris (FR), Gent (BE) and Mulheim (DE). Generate made remixes of Emika (his ‘3 hours' remix won the Rework Contest in 2012), Loyu (‘Blinded'), Marsman (‘Few People Know This'), Melorman (‘Heights'), Roel Funcken (‘Deer') and Adre'n'Alin (‘Split').
