Sounds of the underground

★ Sotu Festival #8 ★ i n f i n i t y ★ 10 - 14 April 2019

Sotu is an annual underground music festival around the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. The festival takes place over 5 days, around 5 venues. The theme of this year is Infinity, that will be translated into a zine, artwork, poetry, screenings and music. 

Previous years Sotu welcomed bands and artists like: Arma Agartha, The Kurws, Senyawa, Dead Neanderthals, Vampillia, FCKN BSTRDS, Rooie Waas, Eugene Chadbourne, Corsano/Flower Duo, The Body, Le Cercle Des Mallissimalistes, U.S. Girls, Rhys Chatham, Jahtari Riddim Force, dj JCAK, Jasper Stadhouders, Rogier Smal, Wartone and many more obscure acts. There where thematic screenings from: Hans Richter, Lysistrata - Ludo Mich, Vergeef Me - Cyrus Frisch, Tomorrow (Voina Artist group/ Pussy Riot), Punk in Africa, Beijing Bubbles and A Pollock of Sound: Borbetomagus.
