Pietro Frigato is a guitarist, composer, improviser, teacher and artistic director born in Italy and based in Rotterdam. He graduated in composition at the Conservatoire "F.Venezze" of Rovigo - Italy. His research is focused on improvisation, on the concept of borders in music, on the edge of perceptions, on the distortion and compression of the signal as poetic, esthetic and conceptual tools. Pietro has been running since 2018 as artistic director, the Cataclisma Improvisation Festival a space for new music, improvisation and social projects.
